The information required to generate a screening report is dependent on the type of report you are ordering.
RentPrep Background Check - Our screeners would require a valid SSN in order to generate a report. If the applicant does not have an SSN issued to them, we would be unable to process a report, as it is a key piece of information used to verify identity (Please note: If you do not have access to the applicant’s SSN, you may enter all zeros in the SSN field to alert screeners that they must locate the existing SSN).
TransUnion Full Credit Report - TransUnion requires the applicant to provide an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number - Similar format to an SSN but begins with a 9), or a valid SSN. If the applicant does not have an ITIN or an SSN that has been issued to them, TransUnion would be unable to identify the applicant or process a report.
