Tenant Applicant Did Not Provide SSN (Social Security Number)

If your tenant refuses to provide their social security number, you can order the RentPrep Background Check with the applicant's name, DOB, SSN, and address. With this information, our FCRA Certified Screeners can use advanced searches to locate the applicant's SSN.

Be sure to use the SSN 000-00-0000 as a placeholder and our Screeners will recognize that you did not have the SSN at the time of ordering.

It is advised for accuracy purposes that you do get the SSN if possible (especially with common names). If a Screener cannot successfully locate your applicant's SSN, the report will return with no match and we will request the SSN.

***We cannot run a report on applicants who have not been issued an SSN. The SSN Verification is the first step in completing your order and confirms all of the applicant's personal identifying information (name, SSN, DOB). Without an SSN we cannot verify this information so we will not be able to match any records. However, if your applicant has an ITIN, a TransUnion Full Credit Report can be completed.
