What is the Difference Between the RentPrep Background Check and the TransUnion Full Credit Report?

The main difference between our RentPrep Background Check and TransUnion Full Credit package is that the TransUnion Full Credit report requires tenant involvement. You'll need to know the applicant's email address to have them complete the report.

Our RentPrep Background Check reports are zero tenant involvement.

Both packages are intended for landlords, but our TransUnion Full Credit Report will provide a ResidentScore, which is a score that has been specifically built to give insight into the outcome of a lease. The score was created by TransUnion after compiling nationwide credit data from individuals that lead to negative rental outcomes. More information on the ResidentScore can also be found in one of our blog posts here: https://rentprep.com/blog/resident-score-credit-score/

With the TransUnion Full Credit product, you also have the option to let the applicant pay for the report.
